According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Barça and PSG have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Ferran Torres.
After winning the UEFA Super Cup under Luis Enrique, PSG turned their focus to the Valencia-born forward, and news of the preliminary accord emerged the following day.
The operation is set to be refined in the coming hours, with expectations that it will be finalised this weekend once all details are settled.
Torres had already agreed personal terms with PSG, though club-to-club terms still had to be aligned. Following a second approach from the French club, after an initial bid was rejected, a virtual handshake was reached.
The forward is due to sign a four-year contract with the two-time European champions.
Torres was scheduled to report back to Sant Joan Despí on Wednesday to rejoin training with his team-mates, but did not attend with Barcelona’s consent given the imminence of an agreement.
