Barça and PSG have reached a preliminary agreement for the transfer of Ferran Torres, according to Superdeporte. The understanding emerged the day after PSG lifted the UEFA Super Cup under Luis Enrique.

The move is due to be ironed out in the coming hours and is expected to be concluded this weekend, with all details agreed.

Torres already had terms agreed with PSG, but the two clubs still needed to align. After the French club’s second approach, the first having been rejected, a virtual handshake followed.

The forward will sign a four-year contract with the two-time European champions.

Torres was scheduled to report back on Wednesday at Sant Joan Despí with his national-team colleagues to resume training. He did not appear, with Barça’s consent, given the imminence of an agreement.
