Barça: Lewandowski under fire

Robert Lewandowski endured a tough night during the Chelsea vs. FC Barcelona Champions League clash. Barça suffered a 3-0 defeat, and the Polish striker came under heavy criticism from the Spanish press, especially Marca.

According to journalist Luis Fernando Rojo, Lewandowski was almost invisible on the pitch:

Lewandowski was one of the least noticeable players. He barely got involved in the game and didn't have a single real chance.

The journalist even believes that his poor performance weighed heavily in Barça’s crushing loss. This season, Lewandowski is going through a rough patch: injuries, contract talks... but above all, zero goals in the Champions League. Rojo points out that he hasn't scored in five European matches, whereas last year, by this stage, he had already netted seven. "No one understands what's happening to the Pole this season," he writes.
