Barcelona have agreed a permanent deal with Al-Hilal to sign Portugal full-back Joao Cancelo this summer after weeks of negotiations.
According to Goal.com, the clubs have settled on a fee close to €10 million, and a two-season contract awaits the defender, who is set to rejoin the Catalan side.
The move gathered pace in recent hours as sporting director Deco acted decisively to finalise the move, with Barcelona seeking to strengthen the right flank before the new campaign.
Head coach Hansi Flick pushed for Cancelo’s return, wanting an experienced full-back who can offer plenty going forward straight away.
Cancelo joined Al-Hilal from Manchester City in summer 2024, struggled to settle in Saudi Arabia, then headed to Barcelona on loan last winter.
