Barcelona among top clubs tracking Borussia Dortmund youth prodigy – report | OneFootball

According to reports in Germany, as relayed by SPORT, FC Barcelona have begun monitoring the development of Justin Ejodamen, a 15-year-old midfielder who has been making a significant impression in Borussia Dortmund’s academy.

The youth academy prospect’s emergence has attracted the attention of several major European clubs, including Barça, with scouts increasingly monitoring a player who is already making an impact despite his age.

A midfielder with a complete skill set

Ejodamen, currently a part of Dortmund’s U16 side, is a versatile central midfielder capable of covering virtually the entire middle of the pitch.

He combines an impressive physical presence with good technical ability and a strong command of the ball. He is also comfortable getting forward, regularly arriving in the penalty area and showing a natural eye for goal.

Those qualities have made him stand out at Borussia Dortmund, where he has already broken several records at youth level despite being just 15 years old.

His performances for Dortmund have also begun to spread beyond Germany, with several of his individual moments gaining popularity on social media. One of his goals, scored from around the halfway line, has gone particularly viral.

Barcelona scouts have been instructed to follow him

Along with Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan are among the major European clubs keeping a close eye on the teenager.

As per the report, the Blaugrana are have already received initial reports on Ejodamen.

Following that, the Catalans have instructed their scouting department to monitor his development closely, both during Dortmund’s biggest youth matches and, in particular, when he represents Italy at under-16 level.

For now, there can be no immediate transfer. Regulations prevent clubs from completing certain international youth transfers until a player reaches at least 16 years of age.

The relationship between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund is also particularly strong at present. Just a few months ago, the two clubs were involved in the transfer that brought Karim Adeyemi to the Catalan club.

For now, Barcelona’s interest in Ejodamen remains focused on monitoring his development. But the 15-year-old has already attracted enough attention to become a player worth watching closely.
