Barcelona and Besiktas have different plans for Marc Casado | OneFootball

The departure of the midfielder Marc Casado is one of the operations left for the FC Barcelona sporting director Deco to address as the summer transfer window reaches its final few hours. It became quite clear at the very start of the summer that the Spaniard would have to leave, but so far, he has not been able to finalize a transfer.

The problem is not a shortage of suitors, as several clubs from around the world have shown interest in him. One of the most interested of these clubs is the Turkish side Besiktas, which have been linked with Casado for some time now.

In this regard, SPORT cites the Turkish outlet Sozcu to report that the Turks are looking to sign him only on loan with the option to purchase him permanently at the end of the season. Besiktas are looking to reinforce their midfield in the last stages of the transfer market, and are also eyeing the former Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba and Richard Rios, but Casado is their top target for this purpose.

However, their plans about the midfielder’s signing are not entirely in line with the Blaugranes’ intentions, as Barcelona are looking to cash in on the Spaniard. Keeping in view the youth of the La Masia graduate, the Catalans can also look to keep some future options on him in exchange for a lower transfer fee.

Meanwhile, the player himself is also having some reservations about such a move, mainly because he wants to continue playing at the highest level, and believes the Turkish league is not on par with other top leagues in Europe. In fact, he has already rejected some very appealing proposals from Saudi Arabia because of this preference.
