A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has agreed on the terms of a departure from the club. The Blaugrana star in question? Ferran Torres.

Frontman Ferran has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now. This comes amid heavy transfer links with Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms in 12 months’ time, Luis Enrique and PSG – on the hunt for reinforcements up top – have identified the 26-year-old as a serious opportunity on the market.

Barcelona, for their part, are understood to have been relying on Ferran for the season ahead, ready to open negotiations over a contract renewal next month.

Safe to say, then, that the latest word stemming from the media will no doubt mark a blow for Hansi Flick and his staff.

As per a report from transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, citing the likes of Jijantes and Marca in Spain:

‘Paris Saint-Germain have agreed all terms with Ferran Torres. Ferran informed Barcelona about his desire to join PSG. Negotiations now starting between clubs over transfer fee. Barça, not forcing Ferran to stay.’
