Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an early update on the situation of midfield star Fermín López.
This comes after the 22-year-old set alarm bells sounding across Catalunya’s capital on Sunday evening.
Barcelona of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to the Estadi Johan Cruyff for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana kept alive a fine recent stretch of form, courtesy of a 3-0 triumph.
Ferran Torres (2) and Dani Olmo were responsible for the goals on the evening.
As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise positive night’s work for Barcelona, one source of concern was forthcoming on the personnel front.
As much came following the full-time whistle, when the aforementioned Fermín López went to ground suddenly holding his groin.
The midfielder was subsequently seen to by the hosts’ medical team, before limping down the tunnel looking in evident distress.
Speaking to the media post-match, Hansi Flick, in turn, was drawn on Fermín’s wellbeing.
And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to admit:
“We’ll have to check on Fermín’s injury tomorrow.”
