This week is going to be a crucial one for Ferran Torres, as far as his future is concerned.

The striker has been closely linked with a move to PSG this week, with his current Barcelona contract coming to an end next summer.

Ferran’s stock has risen since his heroics at the FIFA World Cup and it appears PSG are now ready to snap him up.

As per recent reports, Ferran has already agreed to a move to Parc des Princes.

Now, Gerard Romero has offered an update on the future of Ferran Torres, revealing that the Barcelona frontman is set to visit Paris this week.

It is perhaps fair to guess that the forward might be going there to hold personal talks with PSG, though negotiations can only be handled by his agents.

It must also be noted that Ferran is expected to report to training at Barcelona on August 12, meaning the player might find it ideal to complete the necessary formalities within this week.

That being said, Ferran’s visit to Paris alone doesn’t necessarily mean the deal is close to being done.

It has been reported recently that PSG are yet to submit an offer for Ferran just yet and Barcelona, for their part, are not ready to offload the Spanish international on a cut price deal.

Reports indicate that Catalans are looking for at least €50 million for Ferran Torres’ services, even though there is just one year left on his current contract.

It remains to be seen whether PSG agree to those demands. But Ferran’s exit is likely to play a key role in Barcelona’s pursuit of Julian Alvarez and indeed, Rodri.

The Catalans’ opening offer for Rodri was rejected by Manchester City and the club have vowed to come back with an improved offer.
