La Liga giants Barcelona will be forced to make do without a leading member of the club’s starting XI until after the international break.
That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Joan García as the player in question.
Barcelona were of course back in action on Thursday, making the trip to the Estadio Carlos Tartiere for a La Liga meeting with Real Oviedo.
The aforementioned Joan for his part featured from the off in the clash, keeping alive his streak as a starter in every one of the club’s outings this season.
And en route to a 3-1 victory, the 24-year-old saw out the full 90 minutes.
In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to learn that, less than 24 hours on, Joan has been condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines.
As per a report from the aforementioned Gerard Romero of Jijantes:
‘Joan Garcia got injured in this morning’s training. He will be out at least until after the (international) break.’
