Barcelona legend Ronaldinho’s son joins English club | OneFootball

The son of former Barcelona star Ronaldinho has this week put pen to paper on terms with a 2nd English club.

The outfit in question? Hull City.

João Mendes, a winger like his father before him, has previously spent time on the books of the likes of Boavista, Cruzeiro, and even Barcelona.

Most recently, the 20-year-old spent the 2024/25 campaign plying his trade with English outfit Burnley.

Just a year into his two-year contract at Turf Moor, however, Mendes this summer saw his deal terminated prematurely.

As much left the youngster without a club, at a crucial point in his development as a player.

As alluded to above, though, this week, Mendes has been snapped up by a club to have spent last season lining out against Burnley in The Championship.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing English sources:

‘His new adventure will continue with a British accent, signing for Hull City in the English Second Division, according to local reports.’
