Barcelona midfielder Pedri recently spoke about his relationship with teammate Ferran Torres in a video shared by the Spanish national football team.

Pedri revealed that Ferran has been a crucial support for him, even during challenging times.

“Feran is the one who’s always been there, when I’ve had injuries or bad moments, he has always helped me.”

Pedri went on to clarify that Ferran is also strict with him, stating,

“He is also the first one who scolds me and tells me what is not right or puts me in a hard way to make me make an effort.”

This balance of support and constructive criticism has helped Pedri maintain focus and motivation throughout his career.

Confidence and connection in the midfield

Pedri is fully aware of his strong start to the season and feels confident on the pitch.

He admitted that breaking into the elite level of Spanish football has not been easy, especially after suffering injuries that slowed down his progress.

“I have gone through more complicated and difficult moments, but they are behind me and now I feel confident,” he said, adding that this confidence allows him to “give one of my best, football.”

Pedri also explained that while on the pitch, the team discusses the flow of the game, but much of the communication is lighthearted, especially with Ferran Torres.

He shared, “When you feel that confident, there are games where you want all the balls to come to you.

“It’s true that it’s complicated because you don’t have the physical strength for it, and it’s not the best thing for the team.

“You have to know when to get involved, but if you always want the ball, the more you touch it, the better,” he added.
