Barcelona ‘monitoring’ situation of Fiorentina star | OneFootball

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the situation of Fiorentina star Dodô. This comes amid alleged mutual interest in a joining of forces between the parties next summer.

The brass at the Spotify Camp Nou are understood to be scouring the market at present for potential reinforcements on the right.

With Jules Koundé having fallen out of favour, Eric García naturally a centre-back and João Cancelo considered more a left-back than right by Hansi Flick, Deco and co. are keen to add fresh blood to the defensive ranks in Catalunya’s capital for next season.

A shortlist of options has in turn been drawn up, with an emphasis on fit in Flick’s system, and value on the market.

And with as much in mind, one name to have come back to the fore behind the scenes at Barcelona over recent days is that of the aforementioned Dodô.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘In Italy they say that Dodó, from Fiorentina, has decided not to renew and will leave for free and would be studying the interest of Barça, Milan and Juventus for next season.’

It is also noted that the Blaugrana brass have long been monitoring the situation of the attack-minded Brazilian, who appears keen on the prospect of taking his talents to La Liga.
