Recent criticism directed at the playing squad at La Liga champions Barcelona by manager Hansi Flick did not go over particularly well in the dressing room.
That’s according to Marca, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.
Barcelona, of course, are fresh off dropping their first points of the new season this past weekend.
After making the trip to Spain’s capital for a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano, the Blaugrana were frankly lucky to escape with a share of the spoils.
This followed what was not exactly a convincing performance the week prior, against Levante.
And safe to say, such shortcomings have not gone unnoticed on the part of Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick.
The German has already publicly criticised his squad in front of the media, with a similar sentiment having been shared with the Catalans’ players directly post-match at Vallecas last time out.
According to Marca, though, as much left a number of stars scratching their heads:
‘The German coach was harsh with the dressing room after the draw at Vallecas, and also after the victories against Mallorca and Levante, and made some criticisms that were neither understood nor shared by the players, who hope to clarify the situation next week, after the international break.’
