La Liga giants Barcelona could put four leading members of the club’s first-team ranks up for sale in the summer of 2025.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ronald Araújo, Andreas Christensen, Eric García and Frenkie de Jong as the quartet in question.

So, what do all four have in common? Their respective Barcelona contracts are due to expire in two years’ time.

Eager not to allow any of the club’s leading figures to depart for nothing amid the club’s dire financial situation, the Camp Nou brass, in turn, are already looking towards potential sales.

As per the aforementioned MD:

‘All the players mentioned who end their relationship with Barça in two years, either accept a renewal or Barça will put them on the market.’

Interestingly, should one of the club’s defenders, or De Jong for that matter, depart, then Barca already have potential replacements lined up, too.

The Catalans are understood to have earmarked Bundesliga duo Jonathan Tah and Joshua Kimmich as free agent targets with a view to the 2025/26 campaign.
