Barcelona & Real Madrid stars nominated for La Liga Player of the Month | OneFootball

Leading figures in the first-team ranks at both Barcelona and Real Madrid are amongst the nominees for La Liga’s first Player of the Month award of the season.

From the former, it is Raphinha who has secured a place on the shortlist. From a new-look centre-forward berth, winger Raphinha has opened the campaign in scintillating form, to the tune of five goals and an assist in his first three appearances.

Turning focus towards Real Madrid, and it is Jude Bellingham who gets the nod for a place amongst the candidates for August’s Player of the Month.

Across his first three outings, midfielder Bellingham carried his World Cup brilliance back to Spain’s capital, culminating in four direct goal contributions across a string of standout performances.

Atlético Madrid World Cup winner Álex Baena is also rewarded for a strong start to the term (3G, 1A), whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s explosive opening with Deportivo La Coruña is recognised, too.

Rounding out the five-man shortlist, meanwhile, is Deportivo Alavés standout Nahuel Tenaglia.
