Barcelona starlet Pablo Torre has reached an agreement on the terms of a contract with La Liga rivals RCD Mallorca.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
Youngster Torre has seen his name emerge as something of a prominent one in the media headlines surrounding Barcelona over recent weeks.
This comes amid the widespread understanding that, amid an ongoing effort to clear space on the club’s wage bill, Deco and co. have earmarked the 22-year-old as a leading candidate to move on.
A whole host of clubs, in turn, have been credited with an interest in the talented young midfielder, who struggled for game time in Hansi Flick’s star-studded squad this past season.
Recent days, though, have seen a clear frontrunner emerge in the race for Torre: Mallorca.
And if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Friday is anything to go by, then the Bermellones appear to be closing on a deal for his signature.
As per a report from AS:
‘Everything points to Pablo Torre wearing the Mallorca jersey. Negotiations are on track, and according to sources consulted, the agreement with the player is a done deal.’
Mallorca must now thrash out a deal with their Barcelona counterparts, but confidence is high that an agreement surrounding the terms of a co-ownership agreement will ultimately be reached.
