Barcelona star ‘to say goodbye’ to club’s fans after Villarreal clash | OneFootball

An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is preparing to bid farewell to the club’s supporters.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

Wide-man Ansu has of course endured something of a season to forget to date.

Afforded a fresh chance to prove his talents back in Barcelona’s colours following an unsuccessful loan stint in England, the 22-year-old has struggled badly in efforts towards as much.

All told, in fact, Ansu has been afforded a grand total of less than 300 minutes on the pitch.

Such woes have given rise to mounting reports of dissatisfaction on the part of the attacker, whose career increasingly appears to be getting away from him.

In turn, it should perhaps not come as a major surprise to hear of Ansu preparing for something of a farewell this weekend.

Barcelona are primed to return to action on Sunday evening, when they welcome Villarreal to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

With the La Liga title now wrapped up, Ansu will be expected to feature in at least some capacity, likely off the bench.

And as per Sport:

‘Ansu Fati will not continue (beyond the summer), so he will have his chance to say goodbye before decisive weeks for his future.’
