After more than two years of temporary accommodation at Montjuic, Barcelona are set to return to their spiritual home at Spotify Camp Nou this weekend when they take on Athletic Club.
This will mark the first time Barcelona will be playing at the iconic stadium after two and a half years, during which the stadium went through a renovation project as part of the Espai Barça vision.
To match the magnitude of the occasion, the club appear to have prepared a unique tribute to be worn on the players’ chests.
Barcelona players will wear a special edition jersey featuring a commemorative patch during Saturday’s La Liga match against Athletic Club to celebrate the team’s return to the Spotify Camp Nou.
According to leaks reported by the ‘X’ account @memorabilia1899, the first team will wear the standard home Blaugrana kit modified with a unique central insignia.
A patch located on the chest, positioned between the club crest and the Nike logo, will display the slogan ‘Tornem a casa’ (We’re coming home).
The design includes specific details marking the timeline of the stadium’s reopening. The text ‘Spotify Camp Nou’ will appear in a smaller font at the top of the patch, while the date of the match, ‘November 22, 2025’, will be inscribed at the bottom.
The special kit is expected to be worn exclusively for this fixture, serving as a collector’s item to document the end of the club’s displacement.
While there won’t be any radical change to the design of the Barcelona kit, the patch on the chest is a brilliant ode to Camp Nou and its much-awaited return.
