The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have made the call to send a member of the club’s goalkeeper ranks out on loan for next season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ander Astralaga as the player in question.
Shot-stopper Astralaga, for his part, spent this past season sharing time between Barca Atlètic, and the club’s first-team.
In fact, despite not taking to the pitch once for the latter over the course of the campaign, the 21-year-old was called up by Hansi Flick for a considerable 26 fixtures.
With reinforcements on the way between the posts at the Camp Nou in the form of Joan García, though, Astralaga being afforded any sort of consistent game time at senior level next season looks altogether unlikely, too.
At such a crucial point in his development as a player, the Blaugrana board, in turn, have made a definitive call.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Barça have made up their mind: they will loan out goalkeeper Astralaga.’
