Barcelona youth product called up to first-team training before Real Betis clash | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick afforded a chance to impress to an up-and-coming member of the club’s defensive ranks on Friday.

The player in question? Jofre Torrents.

The name of youngster Jofre will of course be a familiar one to close followers of Barcelona. This comes after the talented left-back was earlier this season introduced to the first-team dynamic in Catalunya’s capital.

Jofre went on to rack up four senior appearances between La Liga and the Copa del Rey, widely impressing the Blaugrana staff and fanbase alike.

His ascension was halted back in February, upon the 19-year-old suffering an ankle injury.

But as alluded to above, after recovering from the problem, Jofre is now back in the sights of Hansi Flick and his staff.

As per a report from Diario Sport, the defender was spotted in the thick of things amongst Barca’s first-team ranks on Friday.

With the La Liga title already in the bag, it is therefore not out of the question that Jofre could feature against Real Betis at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday.
