Sport Bild reports that Leverkusen plan to extend the attacking midfielder’s contract beyond 2030 and have already held an initial meeting with his management.

Maza earns under €3 million per season, placing him in the lower third of the squad’s earners, and the club are prepared to offer a significant rise to reflect his growing importance.

The Algeria international could be offered fresh terms soon in recognition of his recent performances.

He joined Die Werkself from Hertha BSC in the summer of 2025 for a reported €12 million.
