Bayern 'to consider' Augsburg's Dahmen as possible Neuer replacement | OneFootball

Bayern Munich are assessing Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen as a potential option should Manuel Neuer retire, Kicker.de reports.

The 28-year-old has impressed since joining from FSV Mainz 05 in June 2023.

A bid could be made next summer if Neuer does retire at the end of the season. With several indicators suggesting the veteran will end his career in June 2027, Bayern want to be prepared.

Club management are considering Dahmen for the role of experienced back-up, but no concrete talks have taken place. His Augsburg deal runs until June 2027.

RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart are also monitoring him. Augsburg have received no official offers and are not concerned about him forcing an exit. Bayern want to wait for Neuer’s final decision, expected between November and December 2026.
