FC Bayern could take the field in the 2027–28 season with a jersey that differs significantly from the record champion’s previous jerseys. Initial details about the Munich team’s third jersey have leaked—and the planned color combination, in particular, is likely to spark discussion.
As reported by Footy Headlines, a website specializing in jersey leaks, Adidas is said to be opting for a dark khaki base color for Bayern’s third jersey. This will be paired with eye-catching lime-yellow logos and other accents.
Such a color combination would be a first for FC Bayern. While red and white traditionally dominate the home jerseys, Adidas regularly uses the away jerseys for more experimental designs. For the 2027–28 season, the equipment supplier could be taking a particularly unusual approach.
Originally, a different color was reportedly planned for the jersey’s details. According to the report, pink was initially under consideration as an accent color. As things stand now, however, the logos and accents are expected to appear in lime yellow. Pink isn’t entirely off the table, though: the color could still appear in smaller details. This hasn’t been confirmed yet, though.
The colors aren’t expected to be the only distinctive feature of the new Bayern jersey. Footy Headlines also reports on an unusual graphic design intended to give the jersey a unique look.
Exactly what this pattern will look like remains to be seen. No images of the final jersey have been released yet. For now, the leak is limited to the planned color palette and general design direction.
With khaki and lime yellow, Adidas would certainly be straying far from Bayern’s classic colors. However, such an approach isn’t unusual—especially for third jerseys—since these jerseys are often designed to be much more experimental than home and away jerseys.
It will still be some time before the Munich team actually takes the field in the new design. The leaked information already refers to the 2027–28 season.
Consequently, caution is still advised regarding the details. Neither Adidas nor FC Bayern has officially unveiled the jersey or confirmed the leaked colors. Changes to the design are, in principle, still possible until final production.
Should the information be confirmed, however, Bayern fans can look forward to a completely new look. Dark khaki, bright lime yellow, and a striking graphic pattern: the German record champions have never been seen like this before.
