Bild reports that Bayern Munich are targeting a 15 August return for injured teenager Lennart Karl in the Telekom Cup against RB Leipzig.

Karl is progressing in his recovery from the muscular injury he suffered shortly before the World Cup.

The 18-year-old could resume full team training during Bayern's camp in Tegernsee from 27 to 30 July.

He enjoyed a breakout 2025/26 with Bayern, making 40 appearances.

Karl finished the campaign with nine goals and eight assists.
