Bild reports that Vincent Kompany spoke with Nathaniel Brown after the season about a possible summer move to Bayern. The head coach is said to have outlined his plans for the left-back.
For a long period Kompany leaned on Alphonso Davies and saw no need to reinforce left-back. Injuries to Davies prompted a rethink, so strengthening the position became a priority.
That shift has put Brown among Bayern’s leading targets. Despite enquiries from Arsenal and Real Madrid, the German full-back only wants Bayern and prefers to stay in Germany, viewing work under Kompany as a chance to develop.
Meanwhile Bayern would listen to suitable offers for Davies this summer. The Canada international earns roughly €15-20 million gross per year and his deal runs until 2030.
Representatives of Saudi clubs have recently explored the terms of a potential transfer for Davies. Discussions remain at an early stage and nothing is concrete.
