Chelsea are not ruling out deals to sign a forward or midfielder before Monday’s transfer deadline according to BBC Sport.
The Blues were expected to be quiet this window, however their plans changed and they are looking to bring in another centre back.
Chelsea have recalled Aaron Anselmino from Borussia Dortmund, and identified Rennes star Jeremy Jacquet as their primary target.
Rennes are said to want £60m for Jacquet, but Chelsea are yet to make an offer, with Liverpool reportedly also keeping tabs on the France under-21 international.
Chelsea are expected to recall Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg, and the Senegal international is reportedly due in London on Monday.

Anselmino is set to join Strasbourg on loan as his replacement, but BBC Sport have reported Chelsea are not ruling out deals for a midfielder and attacker before Monday’s 7pm deadline.
The Blues made an initial enquiry for Douglas Luiz, but the Brazil international ended up rejoining Aston Villa on loan.
In terms of attackers there’s been no real links this window, but Chelsea could pull an unexpected move out of the bag, and do need cover for Cole Palmer following the departure of Facundo Buonanotte.
Whilst the Blues are still looking to bring players in, they are also working on the departures of Tyrique George and Axel Disasi.
George is reportedly close to joining Everton on loan with an option to buy, but several other clubs are also interested in his services.

Disasi was reportedly close to joining West Ham on loan, but AC Milan have entered the race, whilst Lyon and Roma are also said to be interested.
Ideally they need to find solutions for both players, as them staying for another six months doesn’t work well for anyone.
