Corinthians beat Cruzeiro 3-1 at Canindé on Monday afternoon to book their place in the Brasileirão Feminino semi-finals, where Bahia await.
According to Meu Timao, Belén Aquino spoke post-match and forecast a demanding tie, recalling the 1-1 draw with Bahia in the first phase. She said they liked their display there, yet it was among their most challenging games.
She added that Corinthians respect Bahia and know what to expect both away and at home. Reaching the semi-final is meaningful, and the team will work to adjust what fell short earlier in the campaign to be competitive.
Corinthians remain dominant domestically, having lifted seven league titles since the women’s team was reactivated, in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The semi-final first leg is on 15 at Arena Fonte Nova, with the return on 21 at Neo Química Arena.
