Corinthians attacking midfielder Vic Albuquerque has condemned the CBF’s timetable for the Brasileiro Feminino semi-final against Bahia after the detailed dates and kick-off times were published on Tuesday. The player said in a post that the decision was poor.
The first leg is set for Tuesday 15 September at 21:30 at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador. The return is on Monday 21 September, also at 21:30, at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
Corinthians reached the last four by beating Cruzeiro in both quarter-final matches and, after finishing the first stage as runners-up on 38 points, will decide the tie at home. Bahia were sixth with 29 and advanced past Palmeiras. Flamengo face São Paulo in the other semi-final on 12 and 19 September.
With points carrying through the knockout rounds, Emily Lima’s side have 44, one behind São Paulo on 45, and are still chasing home advantage in a potential final. If Corinthians win both games against Bahia and São Paulo progress with at least a draw, Corinthians could move top of the overall table.
Corinthians are pursuing an eighth national title, and a seventh in succession, as they look for a first trophy of 2026. They were runners-up in the Copa das Campeãs da Fifa and the Supercopa do Brasil under Lucas Piccinato, and went out of the Copa do Brasil in the last 16 to Ferroviária.
