Beñat Prados ruled out of Barcelona match with mild left-leg muscle injury | OneFootball

Beñat Prados’ comeback has been delayed after Athletic said in a statement he has a mild muscle injury to the rectus femoris in his left leg.

The midfielder will not be in the squad to face Barcelona and will be monitored.

Prados suffered a major setback in September 2025, tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during training, and he has not played a competitive match since.

He featured in pre-season under Edin Terzic, then took a knock to the same knee in the friendly against Racing in Laredo, before returning to training without issues.

He was left out for the season opener against Sevilla.

He is almost certain to miss the Celta fixture too, leaving him close to a full year without an official appearance.
