According to Kazakh media, Benfica and Sporting are said to be moving to sign Kairat Almaty goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov, with figures already discussed and a proposal that could reach two and a half million euros.
The 22-year-old helped Kairat reach this season’s Champions League by saving three penalties in a playoff against Celtic. He did not feature in the first two league phase games, against Sporting and Real Madrid, then started the remaining matches and impressed.
In 2026, Anarbekov has made 10 competitive appearances for Kairat, seven in the Kazakh League, two in the Champions League and one in the Kazakhstan Super Cup.
At Benfica, a new goalkeeper is viewed as a priority as the club consider a sale of Anatoliy Trubin.
Anarbekov is valued at four hundred thousand euros and is under contract with Kairat until December 2028. He has four senior caps for Kazakhstan.
