According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica have offered 15 million euros, plus bonuses, to Venezia for Issa Doumbia, with a contract running until 2031 proposed.

Sporting are also interested and are expected to submit a bid in the coming days, increasing competition for the under-21 international.

Before the match against Palermo, Doumbia’s agency Starassist posted a message reading “The last dance”, adding to speculation over a summer move.

Doumbia then scored in a 2-0 win over Palermo, a result that confirmed Venezia’s title.

He celebrated emotionally with supporters and was warmly embraced by team-mates, further intensifying talk about his future in Italy’s second tier.
