Rafael Obrador’s loan from Benfica to Torino includes a nine million euro purchase option, and Real Madrid are due 50% of any capital gain on a future transfer, according to A Bola.

Benfica had not previously disclosed the terms, but the left-back has already featured for Torino after leaving Portugal. The club negotiated the fixed figure when agreeing the Spaniard’s temporary move to Serie A.

Benfica made only three million euros in transfer income this window, stemming from the exits of David Jurásek to Slavia Praga and Obrador to Torino.

Regarding Jurásek, Benfica are entitled to receive one million euros from a future sale, plus a further 50% as agreed between the clubs. In Obrador’s case the outcome is less favourable, and since Benfica paid Real Madrid five million euros for him, the Spanish club hold a 50% share of any capital gain.

This season, with Torino, Obrador has five appearances, two in Serie A, one in Liga Portugal Betclic and two in the Segunda Liga, totalling 280 minutes. The left-back has one goal and one assist, he is under contract until June 2030 and is valued at two million euros.
