Benfica are close to agreeing a new contract with Gianluca Prestianni, an undisputed starter under Marco Silva this season.

MaisFutebol reports that talks are advanced and there is a preliminary agreement to extend the deal to June 2031, with improved terms for the 20-year-old winger.

Prestianni has emerged as one of Benfica's standout performers since Marco Silva's arrival, impressing at the start of the campaign. His senior Argentina call-up, which has been confirmed, has further underlined the club's push to finalise the renewal.

His current agreement runs to June 2029 and includes a €100 million release clause. The renewal would secure a leading prospect for several more years.

With Prestianni's process nearing completion, Benfica's hierarchy is now turning to other dossiers. Anatoliy Trubin and Andreas Schjelderup have renewal offers on the table, and further talks are expected in the coming days to settle details and adjustments.
