MIAMI – The 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League continues with Group D leaders Dominican Republic and Group A leaders El Salvador seeking to maintain a perfect start in League B on Saturday and Sunday.
The Group D doubleheader highlights Saturday’s action. Group A wraps up its October slate on Sunday with two encounters of its own.
Antigua and Barbuda vs. Dominican Republic
Antigua and Barbuda meet the Dominican Republic in Group D on Saturday at the National Sports Centre in Hamilton, Bermuda.
These teams come in on opposite sides of the table as the Dominican Republic is unbeaten at the perch while Antigua and Barbuda seek its first win of the tournament.
Led by Dorny Romero, the attacking prowess for the Dominicans was on full display in the September window. He scored two goals and added a pair of assists in that span, bringing his all-time CNL totals to 15 goal contributions (11 goals and 4 assists).
Young midfielder Ángel Montes de Oca is also a player to keep an eye on for the Dominican Republic. He was crucial in the 2-nil victory over Dominica with four shots and 66 completed passes with a 92% success rate.
Antigua and Barbuda’s goalkeeper Zaieem Scott will be counted on as he finished the September matches with 13 saves, the most across all leagues in CNL.
Dominica vs. Bermuda
Dominica and Bermuda clash in Group D on Saturday at the National Sports Centre in Hamilton, Bermuda. The two nations meet for the first time ever, both seeking to build on three points.
Travist Joseph, who scored a winner in the previous window, is the engine for Dominica. Glenson Prince was also very reliable in net with his nine saves and five clearances.
Bermuda, led by Kane Crichlow, has the advantage of hosting the match at the National Sports Centre. Crichlow is the nation’s top-scorer in CNL history with five goals. Harry Twite and his effective distribution will be crucial in the midfield.
Montserrat vs. Bonaire
Montserrat and Bonaire meet in Group A on Sunday at Arnos Vale Stadium in Arnos Vale, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. After playing each other just a few days ago, Bonaire looks to bounce back from a 1-nil loss.
It will be just the third matchup ever between the nations with the first ending in a scoreless draw. Montserrat was dominant in Thursday’s encounter but was only able to find the back of the net once from a penalty kick. The Emerald Boys have a monumental chance to climb the table in Group A if Brandon Barzey and company can sustain their rhythm.
Bonaire is 0-1-2 so far in this edition of CNL and needs to get going as the possibility of relegation starts weighing heavier.
El Salvador vs. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
El Salvador and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines meet for a consecutive occasion in Group A on Sunday at Arnos Vale Stadium in Arnos Vale, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
La Selecta has earned all nine points possible and wants to keep that record perfect. The dramatic 3-2 victory over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines showed areas of improvement in what should be another thrilling match.
Group A can take shape depending on this result as El Salvador chases promotion back to League A and second-place Saint Vincent and the Grenadines aims to close the gap.
It will be up to the Vincy Heat to limit mistakes and apply pressure, building on good performances from Brandon John and Shakeem Adams.
