Bertrand Traoré is considering his next move after leaving Sunderland earlier this summer.
According to Sunderland Echo, the club chose not to activate an option to extend his deal after talks, and interest in the 30-year-old is growing.
He became a regular for Régis Le Bris in the first half of last season after a deadline-day switch from Ajax, but an Africa Cup of Nations injury curtailed his progress. He returned as a substitute at Leeds United at Elland Road, then suffered a recurrence and did not feature again.
FC Porto, Primeira Liga champions last season and set for the Champions League, are among the clubs to have enquired. Traoré has previously worked with head coach Francesco Farioli at Ajax. Al Shabab and Nice have also asked about him, and while nothing has advanced at this stage, Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation.
Sunderland are pursuing a new right winger in the market, with AS Roma Matías Soulé among the possible targets.
