Besiktas have joined the chase for Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves expect approaches for the 27-year-old, who is captaining the Czech Republic at the World Cup.
The club from Türkiye add to a growing list of suitors. Krejci became a permanent Wolves player only last week when an appearance-related clause in his Girona loan was triggered.
The deal totals £26 million, including a £6 million loan fee. Wolves want to keep him and do not plan to sell cheaply, though Leeds have made enquiries.
His future is unlikely to be settled until after the tournament. The Czechs face Mexico on Wednesday in their final group match, needing a win to avoid a likely exit.
A major overhaul is planned at Molineux, with goalkeepers Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone both expected to leave. Johnstone is on Manchester United’s shortlist as they seek a back-up to first-choice Senne Lammens.
Midfielder Joao Gomes is also widely expected to depart. Atletico Madrid are, for now, thought to have cooled their interest and are assessing other targets amid concern over the possible fee.
Incoming business has started strongly, with Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez arriving on free transfers and Andre agreeing a new contract. Season tickets have sold out, with the final 600 snapped up within 40 minutes.
Wolves will have 22,500 season ticket holders for their Championship return. Prices were cut by at least 25 per cent to keep Molineux full.
