Vincenzo Italiano could be set to finalise his somewhat surprise move to Turkey after Besiktas formally tabled a two-year contract offer worth €6 million net per season, according to journalist Alfredo Pedullà, with the former Bologna coach understood to have signalled his openness to the deal.
According to Pedullà’s report, Besiktas have also offered €2.5 million net per season to cover Italiano’s coaching staff. Negotiations are now at an advanced stage, with the two parties working to finalise the remaining details.

Italiano departed Bologna at the end of the season following contract talks that failed to produce an agreement, despite having guided the club to Coppa Italia glory the previous season and an eighth-place Serie A finish this time round.
He had been linked with Napoli as a potential successor to Antonio Conte, but the Partenopei instead opted to roll the dice on Massimiliano Allegri, leaving the door open for Besiktas to move quickly.
The Turkish offer represents a significant financial package, one that would make Italiano among the highest-paid coaches in the Super Lig, and the coach’s willingness to consider it suggests a move to another top European league has not materialised as expected following his Bologna exit.
