Wolves expect summer approaches for Ladislav Krejci, with Besiktas the latest to target the defender. According to ExpressAndStar.com, interest in the 27-year-old is growing.

Krejci became a permanent Wolves player last week when an appearance-related buy option from Girona was triggered. The deal totals £26 million, including an initial £6 million loan fee.

He is captaining the Czech Republic at the World Cup. Wolves would like to keep him and do not plan to sell cheaply despite relegation to the Championship. Decisions on his future, and those of Hwang Hee-chan and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, are expected after the tournament.

Leeds have made enquiries about a move and other clubs are circling. The Czechs face Mexico on Wednesday needing a win in their final group game to avoid a likely exit.

A major rebuild is planned, with goalkeepers Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone both expected to leave. Johnstone is on Manchester United’s shortlist as they seek a back-up to first-choice Senne Lammens.

Joao Gomes is also widely expected to depart. Incomings have begun, with Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez joining on free transfers and Brazilian midfielder Andre agreeing a new contract.

New boss Cesar Peixoto will have strong backing after season tickets sold out. The final 600 went on general sale on Monday morning and were snapped up within 40 minutes. Wolves will have 22,500 season ticket holders for their Championship return after prices were cut by at least 25 per cent.
