Bia Menezes celebrates goal and Brasileirão Feminino title | OneFootball

After a 1-1 draw with Corinthians this Saturday (3) at MorumBIS, in the second leg of the Brasileirão Feminino final, Bia Menezes, who scored São Paulo’s goal in the match, spoke in the mixed zone.

“It was the best day of my life at this club, wearing this shirt. We’re very happy to be able to provide these moments, especially for families. Many children don’t usually come to the stadium, so having families in women’s football is very important. It brings that sense of unity so that everyone can be there,” she said.

Bia also revealed the emotion she felt at the moment she scored Tricolor’s goal.

“I have to admit that all I could do was thank God so much for that moment, and pay tribute to my mother, the most special and unique woman in my life. So I’m very happy to be able to live this moment wearing this shirt and honor her inside a stadium with more than 49,000 São Paulo fans obsessed with this shirt,” she concluded.

Tricolor return to the field against Bahia on 10/16 (Friday) at 7 p.m. at Lourival Baptista Stadium in Aracaju (SE), for the first leg of the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals.
