Birmingham fan pundit Jason Moore has issued his verdict on their recent links with Scott Parker and Sean Dyche, as pressure on Chris Davies grows.

Chris Davies' position as Birmingham City boss is reportedly under threat, with it previously being revealed that the Blues are weighing up a move for his potential replacement.

It was revealed by Teamtalk that Birmingham are considering a move for Scott Parker and Sean Dyche as Davies' potential replacement, although it remains to be seen whether official negotiations have taken place between the club and either manager.

Davies has been in charge of Birmingham since 2024, and guided the Blues to promotion back into the Championship last season, as they won the League One title in convincing style.

The Birmingham owners have invested heavily in the first-team squad, and there is seemingly pressure on 41-year-old to produce positive results in the near future, as otherwise, his position could be under threat.

The Blues picked up a much-needed win against Derby County on Saturday, which will have been a significant relief for Davies, who was winless from his three games prior to that win over the Rams.

Football League World's Birmingham City fan pundit, Jason Moore issued his verdict on Chris Davies' position in charge of the club, and admitted that he didn't think the Watford-born manager was the right person to lead the club moving forward.

"It's a little bit harsh because it's the start of the season we've had. It was never going to be easy facing the teams we've had to face. Do I sit here and think Chris Davies is the man to take us forward? Probably not.

"I feel for him. If he's to be let go, I feel for him, and I do think it's a bit harsh. But I'm at the point with Chris Davies where I'm not going ot be sad if he's kept and I'm not going to be sad if he's let go."

Parker has been out of work since April 2026, when he left Burnley by mutual consent, whilst Dyche had 18 matches in charge of Nottingham Forest, before being sacked in February 2026.

Moore went on to reveal that he'd be keen for the Blues to agree a deal for either Parker or Dyche, and highlighted their previous experience as a real positive that his team could benefit from.

"I think you've got to look at the point where you've got Scott Parker or Sean Dyche for example. If either of them are interested in coming to the club, I think you have to bite their hand off and take it.

"They've proven they can do the job, and as much as I think Chris Davies has been let down, I wouldn't be upset if he was let go. Harsh, but for the calibre of coach that you could be bringing in, I wouldn't be too upset."

Despite Birmingham picking up three points against struggling Derby County recently, Davies will be well-aware that points are still needed to fire the Blues up the Championship table.

They're set to return to action next weekend, when they host Middlesbrough, in what is certain to be a tough test, as they come up against a team that are unbeaten in their last four matches after a dramatic 4-3 win over Norwich last time out.

Then, Birmingham take West Brom in another tricky battle, with the Baggies showing much-needed improvement this season compared to last term.

Davies has been solid in charge of Birmingham, but they're a club with an impressive amount of ambition, and with the squad they have available, pressure on him will surely heighten if they can't consistently pick up wins in the second-tier.
