Birmingham fight back to extend unbeaten start | OneFootball

Birmingham City drew 2-2 with Wolverhampton Wanderers at St Andrew's on Sunday, the point lifting the hosts from 13th to 10th in the Championship table.

In the third minute, Fer López turned in a Rodrigo Gomes cross on the break. Jay Stansfield levelled for Birmingham (22.) from Patrick Roberts' pass, before Ladislav Krejčí's glancing header from an André knock-back restored the lead (31.). Jackson Tchatchoua then put through his own net to bring Birmingham level (36.). Raúl Jiménez struck the bar from a direct free-kick (40.).

After the restart, Birmingham pressed, with Tomoki Iwata denied by José Sá and a string of corners keeping Wolves pinned back. Late on, Sá saved Marvin Ducksch's long-range effort in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.

Demarai Gray went off injured in the second minute of second half stoppage time, with Ethan Laird sent on.

Birmingham registered 16 attempts, seven on target, and had 53.1% possession. Wolves produced nine attempts, four on target.
