Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers played out an entertaining derby day draw with four goals in the opening 36 minutes.

It took the visitors just under three minutes to break the deadlock at St Andrew's when Rodrigo Gomes put in a low ball from the right that Fer López finished from close range.

The Blues fought back though and levelled in the 22nd minute when Patrick Roberts floated in a pass that Jay Stansfield controlled before rifling into the roof of the net beyond José Sá.

Wolves reestablished their lead with just over a half hour gone when a corner from the left found its way through for Ladislav Krejci to head home.

Five minutes later, the scores were level again. This time it was a bizarre own goal as Jackson Tchatchoua's attempted back pass had too much on it and instead found the net.

Both sides have opportunities to win the game in the second with Adam Armstrong missing a golden opportunity in the final moments.

Instead a draw sees Wolves ninth in the Championship and remain a point ahead of Birmingham.
