Birmingham City beat Leicester City 2-1 at St Andrew's to rise from 13th to 10th in the Championship.

Ibrahim Osman struck in the third minute, guiding a right-footed finish from the centre of the box to put the hosts ahead.

Abdul Fatawu levelled (21.), and Asmir Begovic kept the Foxes in it with smart stops as Birmingham piled on pressure down the flanks.

Bobby Decordova-Reid was sent off (32.), leaving the visitors a man down before the break.

On the stroke of half time, Marvin Ducksch hit the bar in the third minute of first half stoppage time.

After the restart, Patrick Roberts and Bright Osayi-Samuel injected pace on the right, and Ducksch slipped in Jay Stansfield to sweep in the winner (67.).

Birmingham finished with 72.7% possession and 22 attempts, underlining their control. The Foxes mustered seven efforts and were forced into 45 clearances.
