Tom Bischof had a special evening in the DFB jersey against Serbia. After scoring, the Bayern pro spoke emotionally about his goal and the atmosphere.
Tom Bischof capped off his strong performance in the German national team’s 2-0 victory over Serbia with a very special moment. The 21-year-old scored the opening goal at the Allianz Arena to make it 1-0 and then let his joy run wild.
After the match, the Bayern pro was understandably emotional. Bischof was particularly impressed by the atmosphere in Munich: “I think the euphoria and the stadium were on fire today. It was just a lot of fun. We really felt the support—it was there in full force,” Bischof said on ZDF.
The midfielder was also satisfied with the team’s performance. Germany took control from the start and created numerous scoring opportunities. Bischof himself was repeatedly involved in the offensive play and was ultimately rewarded with his goal.
Things got particularly emotional for the Bayern star after his goal. Bischof celebrated exuberantly in front of the Südkurve and then made it clear just how much that moment meant to him.
“Yeah, I think you could tell. I just let it all out. I was incredibly happy,” explained the 21-year-old.
For Bischof, it was an evening he’s likely to remember for a long time. Even during the game, the midfielder had impressed with his enthusiasm, bold plays, and strong presence. His goal to make it 1–0 was ultimately the reward for a strong performance.
Bischof also spoke with great admiration about the influence of national team coach Jürgen Klopp afterward: “I just think Jürgen is a coach who gets you fired up, who pulls you along.”

The Bayern pro clearly sees Klopp as a key factor in the new atmosphere surrounding the national team: “And I think you can see that in how people are flocking to the stadium and how they simply want to watch German soccer. He’s managed to achieve that, and I hope it continues just the same.”
Following the first victory under Klopp, Bischof himself was among the winners of the evening. With his performance against Serbia, the young Bayern player has made a strong case for future call-ups.
