On Saturday, FC Bayern won the Super Cup at Signal Iduna Park. Against Borussia Dortmund, Bayern put in a very solid performance, even if they gradually ran out of steam in the second half.
There was a lot going on surrounding the game in Dortmund. The famous cockatoo made another appearance during the record champions’ celebrations, and there were also a few critical voices regarding the FCB’s performance. Joshua Kimmich, in particular, felt that the team could have played much better.
After the game, however, there was also a curious incident. It primarily involved a streaker who made his way through the celebrations toward the Bayern team.
The young fan made a few quick moves and was soon sprinting across the field. It didn’t take long, though, before he met his match—namely when Rodyse Munienge, better known to soccer fans as “Mr. Aura,” stepped in his path and lightly tackled him.
Vincent Kompany’s assistant made short work of the situation, stopping the pitch invader’s run with his move.
Kompany’s assistant’s interesting nickname came about when the head coach was asked by reporters at a press conference a few months ago about his outfits on the sidelines. Kompany jokingly replied that there’s only one “Mister Aura” at Bayern, and that’s Rodyse.
“People always say he’s my buddy, but above all, he’s also very important to my work. I’m not just saying that. You have to earn your place here,” Kompany explained at the time. For the streaker in Dortmund, the performance came to a prompt end after the tackle.
