CONMEBOL has confirmed a historic rise in Copa Libertadores prize money, and Boca Juniors could bank more than USD 40,000,000 if they lift a seventh title in 2026.
The new distribution rewards accumulation across the campaign. The winners of the final receive an exclusive USD 25,000,000, and the champions’ total intake could surpass that mark across the tournament.
Earnings also include fees for advancing through the last 16, quarter-final and semi-final, plus a guaranteed sum for group-stage participation. The title brings automatic entry to the following year’s group stage, adding a base income counted within this campaign’s success.
To sharpen early competitiveness, group wins in 2026 will pay USD 340,000 each, far above the USD 125,000 per victory in the Sudamericana. Strong home form and away wins would make the group phase a substantial cash injection on its own.
Boca are in Group D with Cruzeiro, Universidad Católica and Barcelona SC.
The final is scheduled for 28 November in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Boca’s record at the Estadio Centenario is positive, with 20 official matches yielding 9 wins, 7 draws and 4 defeats, and goals for and against at 26-21. The club now aims to secure its route to the Uruguayan capital.
