According to reports from Bologna-based outlet Il Resto del Carlino, the Toffees had submitted a €30m offer to sign Rowe this summer, which was swiftly turned down.

Everton had reportedly asked if there would be room to negotiate if the offer was raised to €35m, but Bologna have made it clear that they are unwilling to entertain any more offers, even with a price increase.

Part of the reason why Bologna are so reluctant to sell Rowe this summer is the fact that they have already sanctioned the departure of one of their starting attackers this window in Santiago Castro, who has recently joined Roma in a €35m deal.

There are also concerns that centre-back Jhon Lucumi could be sold for a fee in the region of €25m this summer, which means that Bologna would have already brought in €60m in player sales this window.

The latest reports claim that Bologna will only sell Rowe this summer if they receive an offer that goes significantly beyond the player’s market value, potentially in the region of €55m-€60m.

Bologna spent a reported fee of €19.5m to sign Rowe from Marseille last summer. He went on to provide seven goals and four assists from 40 matches in Serie A and the Europa League in 2025-26.
