Bookmakers have taken a firm early view on Arsenal against Leeds United, installing the champions as strong favourites for next Saturday at the Emirates.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Arsenal are around 4-11, now bigger than 2-5. Leeds are 7-1 to win, with the draw as big as 4s.
Arsenal also dominate the any time scorer market, providing the first nine names, led by Viktor Gyokeres at 6-5.
Mikel Arteta’s side began their title defence with four straight wins, then lost 3-0 at an impressive Brighton before the international break.
Since then, Kai Havertz and Christos Tzolis have sustained hamstring injuries on international duty with Germany and Greece respectively, and Declan Rice has withdrawn from the England camp.
William Saliba remains sidelined, with doubts over fellow defenders Ben White, Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera. Daniel Farke’s Leeds are unbeaten after five games yet still rated clear outsiders.
