Leeds United visit Bournemouth on Wednesday night with two players ruled out and three doubts, despite a star’s return, and two others back.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the match was moved to midweek after Leeds’ FA Cup run. It follows Saturday’s 3-0 win over Wolves, which put them on 39 points, eight clear with five to play, before Sunday’s Wembley semi-final.

Bournemouth beat Newcastle 2-1 on Saturday and are in excellent form. They have not lost a league match since a 3-2 home defeat by Arsenal on Saturday 3 January. There were no fresh injuries reported on Tuesday.

Joe Rodon is available again after an ankle injury, returning earlier than first expected and coming off the bench against Wolves with no setback reported. Versatile defender James Justin also featured prominently against Wolves and is expected to be fine after cramp. Both are in contention.

For Bournemouth, former Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams returned during the March break and has played 45 minutes off the bench in each of the last two games, against Arsenal and Newcastle. Midfielder Lewis Cook is close after partial training but remains a doubt. Left back Julio Soler, back with the group, also remains uncertain after missing the squad at Newcastle.

Dan James has resumed training following an adductor issue before the FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham, yet needs several sessions and remains a major doubt, with involvement likely a surprise.
